Senior OutSystems Developer

Overview

As a Senior OutSystems Developer, you will play a crucial role within our Information Technology Applications Team, with a primary focus on the development and maintenance of our business-critical application estate built within the OutSystems low-code platform. You'll be responsible for driving innovation and efficiency within our organization by harnessing the power of the OutSystems platform.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and high-quality Outsystems applications.
• Collaborate with Business Analyst to gather/clarify requirements, define project scope, and ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to team, reviewing their code and providing constructive feedback.
• Architect and design Outsystems solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Continuously improve applications by identifying and remedying architectural issues.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project timelines.
• Stay updated with the latest Outsystems features, tools, and technologies, and incorporate them into project development as appropriate.
• Maintain the Outsystems platform across 3 environments, ensuring the platform is up to date.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other Agile/Scrum ceremonies to ensure project success and team collaboration.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.

Experience & Qualifications for the Role

• Proven experience in software development working as a specialist lead within the business.
• Proven experience and expertise in developing within the Outsystems platform.
• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
• Outsystems Certified, including but not limited to; Traditional, Reactive, Architecture Specialism, Security Specialism.
• Strong understanding of web technologies and protocols such as; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST and SOAP.
• Strong understanding of C# .Net and experience of utilising C# code within Outsystems integration studio.
• Experience with T-SQL relational database, including Stored Procedures, Functions and Views.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
• Experience of mentoring software developers in Outsystems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven technical leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide.
