Senior Mendix Developer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mendix Developer to join our clients dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and deploying applications using the Mendix platform, demonstrating expertise in both front-end and back-end development. This role requires a deep understanding of the Mendix ecosystem, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior developers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality applications using the Mendix platform.
• Create user interfaces, workflows, and business logic.
• Integrate Mendix applications with external systems and databases.
• Lead and manage Mendix development projects from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and scope.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest Mendix features and industry trends.
• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests.
• Identify and fix defects in a timely manner.
• Ensure applications are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and processes.
• Document architectural decisions and design patterns used in projects.

Experience & Qualifications for the Role

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with the Mendix platform.
• Proven experience in leading development projects and teams.
• Proficiency in Mendix app development (both front-end and back-end).
• Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and web services (REST, SOAP).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Mendix Advanced or Expert Developer Certified.
