Senior Appian Developer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Appian Developer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Appian BPM and be capable of designing, developing, and implementing high-quality business solutions. As a Senior Developer, you will lead the technical development efforts, provide mentorship to junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable applications.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-level applications on the Appian platform.
• Create and manage Appian objects such as process models, interfaces, data types, query rules, and SAIL forms.
• Implement complex integrations between Appian and other enterprise systems (e.g., web services, RESTful APIs, databases).
• Lead the development of Appian applications, ensuring best practices in coding, design, and architecture are adhered to.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, conducting code reviews, and ensuring quality standards.
• Collaborate with solution architects to design scalable and maintainable applications.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and automated tests to ensure the quality of the applications.
• Manage the deployment process, including production environment setups and post-deployment monitoring.
• Stay updated with the latest Appian features, best practices, and industry trends.
• Contribute to the development of internal tools, templates, and standards for Appian development.

Experience & Qualifications for the Role

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in Appian development.
• Proven track record of delivering complex Appian applications in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of Appian BPM architecture and object model.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing process models, SAIL interfaces, expression rules, and integrations.
• Experience with relational databases, including SQL and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Appian Certified Senior Developer or Appian Certified Lead Developer is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Appian’s latest features, such as RPA, AI, and low-code development frameworks.
• Experience in integrating Appian with modern enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
