Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Low Code Developer to join our clients dynamic IT team. The Low Code Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software applications using low-code development platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of business processes, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy applications using low-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Apps, OutSystems, Mendix, or similar.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with a focus on user experience and performance.
- Customize existing applications to meet business needs, including adding features, creating forms, workflows, and reports.
- Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to end-users and other team members.
- Participate in project planning, including effort estimation, task assignment, and timeline development.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and assist with user acceptance testing to ensure application quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with best practices for security, data protection, and application performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in low-code/no-code development.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and applications.
- Contribute to the development of documentation, including user guides, technical documentation, and training materials.
Experience & Qualifications for the Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in low-code development, preferably with platforms such as Microsoft Power Apps, OutSystems, Mendix, Appian, or similar.
- Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs, web services, and third-party applications.
- Familiarity with databases, data modeling, and SQL.
- Prior experience in a similar role, including working on agile teams, is highly desirable.
- Understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Basic knowledge of traditional programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Certifications in low-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform Certification, OutSystems Developer Certification).
