    In this episode, we speak to OutSystems Tech Lead Ricardo Antunes. Ricardo talks about starting his career with Deloitte working with SAP before them introducing him to OutSystems in 2014. Even though he was being approached for many SAP roles Ricardo was keen to pursue a career with OutSystems. This allowed him to go out of his comfort zone and move to the Netherlands, where he stayed for 3 years before deciding he wanted to return to Portugal. Even though he wanted to return to Portugal he really liked the Dutch working culture, so he then joined Dutch OutSystems Partner Team Resilience and has since helped them build out their Portugal OutSystems Team. Ricardo also talks about his other interest which is in stocks and shares which he has been investing in for the last 7 years.

João speaks about only knowing Python prior to starting his first job where he was exposed to OutSystems for the first time.     In this episode, we speak to OutSystems Champion and Lead Consultant Michael de Guzman from The Philippines. Michael has been in the software engineering space for 25 years now and he talks about starting his career as a college professor teaching computer science before deciding he wanted some programming experience working for software companies rather than teaching by the book with a view to hopefully one day return to teaching and share his knowledge. After many years of working with Traditional programming Michael was introduced to OutSystems in 2018 which he absolutely loves and plans to continue working with till he retires. Due to his love of OutSystems and teaching Michael is now also running training sessions for universities in his province which he hopes will help fill the developer shortage.

    In this episode, we speak with OutSystems Developer Matthew Harvey from the UK who talks about deciding to do a Degree Apprenticeship rather than your standard degree where you just attend university full time. Even though it wasn’t easy and forced him to make certain sacrifices he was lucky to be exposed to OutSystems early on in his journey which played to his advantage when he graduated. Once he graduated Matthew was able to look for opportunities for higher-level OutSystems Developers rather than graduate opportunities due to the experience he had gained during his degree apprenticeship. When speaking to Matthew I could clearly hear the passion in his voice for the platform and I can see him having a great career with this amazing platform.
